"Show and Tell Friday!"
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
Today I'm going to show you our collection of mini tea sets. This little bit of wall space is in my dining room.
I found the actual shelf at a yard sale many years ago.
This beautiful heart that Anita made for me hangs on one of the hooks.
On the very top shelf I keep two of these teapot candle holders.
The bottom two tea sets were gifts to the girls from Phillip. The white set is missing quite a few pieces because the girls actually used them for tea time when they were little. Let's just say these dishes are well loved. :0)
I found this last tea set at a yard sale a few years ago. The young girl that was selling it said her Grandmother brought it back from a trip she had made to Japan. I thought it was sad she was getting rid of it, but the girls and I have enjoyed it!
Thank you for looking my show and tell!
Show and Tell Guidelines
What is Show and Tell Friday?
Show and Tell involves showing something to an audience, and then telling them about it. Your show and tell must be something that you own, and is in your home or garden.
What items work well for Show and Tell Friday?
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
-A collection you may have
-A piece of jewelry
-A special gift
What doesn't work well for Show and Tell Friday?
-Posts with no photos have no "Show." Please don't use them.
-Photos of events (trips, vacations, celebrations, etc.)
-Photos of things you are selling or planning to sell.
-Photos found on the internet, graphics or screenshots. Please use photos you take yourself.
-Old photos of just people instead of things.
There is no place like home is the original home of Show and Tell Friday. Please do not host your own.
How can I participate?
Once you've got your photo(s) and your story, it's easy as 1-2-3!
1 - Publish your "Show and Tell" on your blog, including a link back to There is No Place Like Home. Go HERE for the "Show and Tell" picture code to copy and paste into your post.
2 - Copy the link (or "permalink") from your post.
3 - Add it to Mr. Linky, along with your first name only. (This will make the list easier to read.) I usually put Mr. Linky up on Friday at 12:00am Eastern time.

Good Morning Kelli,
Oh my goodness, I love your shelf and all of your Teaposts. I don't collect those, but I have seen so many of my blogging friends that do collect them that I may have to start collecting them myself. You do have some beautiful Tea Sets. "THANK YOU" for sharing them with us. I have my Friday Show & Tell posted. When you have time, stop by and visit. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

What a pretty way to display those tea sets! I'll bet that your girls are thrilled that you keep them out. It often makes my children feel special if I want to use something of theirs.
Could you please just pop over to my house and decorate it for me? Your teapots are so pretty. I have a few of the miniature tea sets that I just love.
Thanks for sharing!
I wouldn't have been able to part with that tea set, especially if it was my grandmothers. Your show & tell is beautiful.
So lovely. I especially like the teapot candle holders!! And of course the heart from our dear Anita!!!
I would love to find selves like that! And I love Anita's hearts. Those tea sets are so cute. It is sad that the one girl would sell her grandmother's.
The shelf is so adorable with all the little tea items! I love it!
Thanks for sharing your little tea things. There is something about collecting that hooks us into the global community and our own history.
It is so nice that you fill each corner of your house with things of beauty that appeal to your sense of beauty! Thanks for hosting.
I hope you don't mind, I posted a second Show and Tell. It's the one I had planned to show, and couldn't get the camera to work. I promise I won't do two again! Please forgive me!!!
I love the tea pot from Japan. I need a little shelf like that in my dining room!
Oh Kelli, this is so sweet. I have a couple of mini tea sets myself, but this is such a lovely way to display them. Thank you for sharing, and for hosting show & tell each week. It is so much fun!
I had a very similar set when I was a young girl.
There are still some pieces kickin' around someplace...probably in daughter Jessica's things...since she is the doll lover.

Your miniature tea sets are exquisite! One of my favorite kinds of miniatures.
I loved looking at all of your wonderful tea treasures. I have never seen a teapot candle holder like that ~ it is truly lovely. BTW, I think "well loved" dishes are the best kind;o)
I love your little tea set on the bottom...is that what is referred to as "lustre wear"?? I once had a couple of tea cups that were similar - kind of pearly looking.
OH I love your shelf. It is filled with lots of treasures. I love teapots and tea cups. Have a wonderful weekend dear friend.
Beautiful shelf with all the teapots on it. I love the bright, cheery look. I'll bet that you wouldn't replace all the fun tea parties with the unbroken pieces.
I love the "Tea Shelf" with the tea sets.
I LOVE the heart hanging on the hook. I've been looking for a project for valentine gifts and I think I found it!! It will hopefully look similiar to the one posted.

want to go yard sailing with
Such dainty little treasures! When your girls are grown, they will understand what it meant to play with your collection. How precious those memories will be for them! I think I'm up and running in the blog world again. The break was much needed. Thanks for your Christmas hello. Please check my blog today - there is a message for you!
So sweet. I love that little shelf and your candleholders. I still have my teaset from when I was a little girl, but I never let my girls play with it until they were older - probably too old now that I think about it.
How very cute those are. I love the heart...
Hello this is my first entry in here. Your collections of tea sets are nice and pretty.

Those teapots are just so precious. I love the tealight holders.
The display shelf is just great. I never find things like that at yard sales.
Kelli ~ Your little shelf is just the perfect size for the tea sets! So sweet.
When JR was stationed in the Philippines he sent me a small, "table-top," curio cabinet. I began collecting miniatures (a tea set and Limoges pieces). Unfortunately during one of our moves the cabinet broke. (to bits! dropped box!) I kept my Limoges, but my girlies took over my tea set! ;o)
And now I think I need a cup of mocha after viewing your previous post's pictures! :op
I have my birthday gift as my Show and Tell, I hope that is ok, its a hand made gift from my FIL and My Hubby, and wanted to share.
I agree with Jessica, I get the best home deco items from yard sales.
Thanks for the "show and tell" button. I'm new at this and hopefully I copied and paste correctly.
Oh I just love them. I have been collecting tea pots over the years but their all packed up with no place to go.
