Vintage Needlepoint

IMG_2267
My sister-in-law and I are huge fans of estate sales and like to stop by a few every Friday morning, if they are close by.  Sometimes we stop by again on Sunday if we see something, but would rather wait for the 30-50% off sale.  I'll be honest...I usually can't wait. :0)

This beautiful rose needlepoint picture is a recent find for $5.00.

I have a shabby chic/vintage look going on in my work/crafting area, so it's a perfect fit.

Thank you for stopping by!

Great find!! All of us needleworkers know how much time went into that beautiful piece. So glad it found a nice home!

How beautiful, Kelli! I'm sure the person who stitched it would be thrilled to know the piece ended up in the hands of someone who will cherish and appreciate it.

Such a beautiful needlepoint, many hours must have gone into creating this lovely picture. It always makes me a sad when a treasured needlework is sold or discarded by the family, not appreciating it's beauty. Thank goodness you rescued this piece.

OH that cross stitched rose is just beautiful. I love vintage rose things and have found quite a few myself over the years. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Kelli, I'm your newest follower, but I hope you might follow me on Linky as I am on WP. I have a gmail addy and I think that is why I can still log in. I found your blog by googling about decorating a garden gate and your gate came up near my post about my gate. How fun that you live in Texas..I'm a native, but now live in TN. Hope you will visit my blog, too. Love the color of your dining room.

I like your new blog design--very pretty. I enjoyed a visit to your site since I haven't been by in a while. I sure do wish I was able to go with you to the Estate sales. You have found some wonderful treasures. Since I do needlepoint and have crocheted a tablecloth, I know the time it takes. It makes me happy to know hopefully there will be people to love and enjoy after I am gone.
Love,
Marie
