Thank you for your comments on my rock garden! Next up on the tour are my patio and water garden.
I got this idea from a Mary Engelbriet gardening book. I found this box in the garden section at Hobby Lobby. I planted bigonias and ivy, which will hopefully grow and hang down over the sides.
When I sit on my patio love seat this is what I see. My water garden right in front and the herb/fairy garden (which I will show you next!) to the left.
Here is a view from the other side. Grace is sitting on a stool, watching the fish.
This fish is 2 1/2 years old. Not bad for a goldfish!
Two smaller ones. We have 4 total.
Nestled among the Creeping Jenny is a pot of Dusty Miller, Purple Johnny Jump-ups and a red Geranium.
I filled my strawberry planter with a variety of annuals.
I found this pretty shamrock plant which will be perfect for this coming Saturday. :0)
We got some rain this week and it woke up my little violet plant, one of my favorite flowers. It doesn't like the heat so I'm sure to enjoy it while it lasts.
Do you have any spring flowers popping up in your garden?

Everything looks so beautiful! You are doing a great job. By the way, I really like your rock garden, what a great inprovement. I hope that my patio looks as pretty as yours one day (all in good time, I know). Have a wonderful evening!
Such beautiful photo's and your creative talents are a delight to see and share here.
I have daffodils and snow drops in bloom now - although they are looking a little uncertain - unpredictable weather here in Scotland.
Luv the goldfish too.
Things are really popping out here. Love your patio and rock garden!
Ok, seriously, would you just come on up to my neck of the woods and do your magic? :) I love it! I would love to have a pond with fish!
Kelli it's beautiful! So peaceful looking. A little slice of heaven on earth.
Kelli, It's all so pretty. I like the idea of putting annuals in the strawberry pot. I might copy that idea myself. My spring flowers haven't come up all the way yet but they're making progress. :)
No flowers yet... :-( My table is AWFULLY bare!
I love the pictures of the fish-they are SO clear-a feat since they are underwater!
I love that shamrock plant too-I think I even see a four-leaf clover there!
I want to make a SMALL watergarden with Corynn this year-using a large bucket and water-loving plants. maybe make a floating toadstool. We shall see!
Kelli, everything is just so inviting...so very pretty! Unfortunately in my part of the country spring hasn't sprung yet...though I did notice that the grass is starting to green up a little!
That's pretty, too, Kelli.
I want a koi pond, but I think I will buy goldfish instead of Koi...I am just too cheap! LOL
Terri
Oh, so pretty. I love little fish ponds, we want to put one in when we get a house that is our own. You did a great job with all the landscaping!
how beautiful! Makes me want to get out their and start planting! You do such wonderful things...lots of ideas!
Kelli I'm really jealous of pretty you make your home!
I echo what Karen said! A slcie of heaven!
Also, I like your tablecloth! :)
Love Candy
Kelli
Your back garden is just charming. I love the picture of Grace watching the fish. I do that with the fish in our pond too. I find it so calming to just watch them swim to and fro.
(We bought goldfish too, and they thrive) Our biggest problem is the raccoons love to eat them :(
((hugs))
How lovely, Kelli! Among your other talents, you are also a very creative gardener as well. I really enjoy seeing all your great projects, so thanks so much for sharing. I especially like your hanging box ala Mary Engelbright and your fish pool.I need to get out in my yard and get busy as well! LOL I've had a fish pool waiting to be 'submerged' into the ground for several years now.
Have a great day!
Amy
Loved the garden peek! Everything is still covered in white here in NY!
*sigh*
Kelli, is your house U shaped? You see a structure on either side of your view. I love all your little touches. You are very creative.
My first crocus showed up yesterday. I have daffodils with buds, but none blooming yet.
How pretty everything looks, Kelli!! How much time are you able to spend on your lovely patio? I'd want to have school out there and spend the day! I love your water garden....I'd really like to have one here, but I know that the racoons would enjoy fishing in it. I'm hoping to start some work on our flower beds here next paycheck. You inspire me!
Oh so beautiful Kelli!
We don't have anything popping up yet- the snow finally melted and we are expecting some tomorrow again - uggh!
We only have been in this house for less than 1 1/2 years and sometime I hope to plant some bulbs for the spring. I'm never sure when to do that stuff - I've got to do some research. I wish I had more self confidence as a gardner. Something to keep working on - living to learn!!
I so wish we were neighbors, Kelli! You have the most wonderful decorating/gardening ideas! I really like your water garden.
very pretty! :)
Kelli,
Your garden is wonderful! I echo what all the other women have said. I would love to have a backyard that looks like that.
I haven't done any planting yet. Every year I seem to plant just a little too early and a cold snap damages my plants, so this year I'm holding off a bit.
You are an inspiration to me. Thanks for your wonderful comments.

Kelli, Everything looks so lovely!
Looking forward to more pictures :)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh violets!!! Oh I always love to see violets appear. But of course, no Spring flowers here yet.
But my 'Garden Gnome' has stuck his head up out, from beneath the snow cover! That's a start. :-))))

Kelli, as always, everything is sooo lovely!! It looks so calm and peaceful there. And it looks so cool, too (as in temperature cool). Thank you SO much for sharing!!

Oh, your patio area and watergarden are just lovely. It must be so relaxing to just sit there and rest.
The daffodils that we replanted last week are blooming. The tulips should be blooming within a couple of weeks. There are several plants in the garden that are coming up that I can't wait to find out what they are...
Very pretty, Kelli, such a peaceful spot! I love the sound of water!
The flowers are all so pretty and your fish look so healthy and bright.
Flora
