"Show and Tell Friday"

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!" Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, an antique find. Your show and tell can be old or new. Use your imagination and dig through those old boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and if there's a story behind your special something, that's even better!

Today I want to share with you two things I picked up while antiquing this past weekend.

The first "new to me" item is this teacup stand. I had planned on putting it in my kitchen, but it's so tall it won't fit under my cupboards! For now it's on my fireplace hearth.

It holds a few of my favorite teacups...

In addition to the teacup stand I found these four embroidered tea napkins.

The edges are scalloped and there are tiny baskets in one corner.

Now all I need is someone to have tea with me!

Thank you for looking at my show and tell!

The
Show and Tell Guidelines have changed recently. Please read them before participating! If your name is removed from the list you can email me and I will explain why.

I have been wanting to explore some antique shops, especially for antique linens, and this is so inspiring me to do so! I love the teacup holder, but I especially love those napkins.

Can I come for tea please? What a wonderful antique find! I know so many people with beautiful cup & saucer sets, who would kill to have something like this to display them on! Your collection is gorgeous too, and I like your napkins as well.

I'm impressed that you trust Fern not to knock all of those lovely teacups over. I think Chester would be too curious. You hit the jackpot!

Wow, that teacup stand is fabulous! I have seen similiar stands for plates (I'd like to have one) but never for tea cups so far! What a great find! Well, you always have such great finds! The napkins are looking wonderful, too. I love the way you displayed them.

Have a great Friday Kelli, I hope it won't be too hot in Texas today!

First time I hear there is such a thing. I would probably have thought it is a stand for flowerpots.

O! Kelli how beautiful,

I also have one of these stands and it is one of the very few "new" I items I own too.

I bought it from your lovely country when I had all my vintage china on display at the Melbourne museum which was an honour for me.

Your show and tell is "so beautiful" I done mine too.

I love your teacups! I have a rather large collection of my own and they are all so pretty. I used to have that very teacup stand, but it is rather big and I sold it in my yard sale. The ones I have now are a bit smaller and fit better.

Beautiful!

I miss visiting antique shops. It's high on my list of things to do when the children are grown. For some reason shop owners panic when they see someone walk in with nine children in tow. ;)
