An Autumn Kitchen and Dining Room -Oct. 15

Hello everyone! I'm still on vacation, but wanted to show you pictures of my Autumny kitchen and dining room. This is what everything looked like before I left. When I get back, everything will be covered with dust. ;0)

The china hutch in my dining room.
Hutch

The sideboard has a candle tart warmer, jars of apple butter, a bowl of caramel candies, candles and a dish of acorns, along with various old cookbooks.

A mini white pumpkin on a teacup saucer.

Leaf ornaments on the hutch doors.

This little wooden acorn is the size of my thumb.

It's actually a placecard holder!

A pumpkin and berry garland centerpiece on my kitchen table.

My mom painted this wonderful picture for me many years ago. Can you see my dream farm there in the distance? :0)

A basket of Indian corn, gourds, mini pumpkins and apples.

A little spot on my counter. A "tea for one" teapot, a pumpkin scented candle and pumpkin salt and pepper shakers.

Very lovely, Kelli! I am drooling over that big bowl of caramel candy. I've got some nice, tart apples that would go great with them. ;)

Simple, yet elegant! You have a great 'eye' for decorating, and I always enjoy seeing what you've done in your home to celebrate each season! Very well done!
I pray you and the children will have a safe and delightful trip! And the roly poly pudding was absolutely delicious...a perfect treat for fall! Thanks for your 'tag' on my chatbox about the dessert! You are such an encouragement...EVEN WHEN YOU'RE ON VACATION! LOL

Everything is so pretty, as usual, Kelli! You have such a flair for decorating.
Enjoy your time away, and it sounds like you're visiting around our area. Have fun!

Becky said...

Your decorations are gorgeous! One question though: does decorating like this cause you a lot of extra things to dust? I've never put many decorations or knick knacks out, simply because I don't want to have to keep moving everything around to dust.

Dear Kelli

Your kitchen pictures are so pretty and inspiring! I really hve to get to work and get our fall things up and take a few pictures! I don't have a lot of 'stuff' but seeing how you have made your home autumny will keep me thinking about what I can do with ours. Last weekend I saw an arrangement that was $350 and it was georgeous - I bought the silks and hope to 'copy' it today - for about $60!

I hope you are loving your vacation and are enjoying wearing your sweaters and seeing the fall colors!
