i spent most of yesterday indoors - watching baseball and football. then, around the dinner hour, i went out on the back deck and the crisp autumn air hit me. there's just something special about the feel and smell of the air in the fall months that i just love. welcome october!

I love to do all those things in the fall as well. We always take a picnic lunch and drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is so beautiful this time of year.

These are gorgeous! October has always been my favorite month - even when I was a child (I think I liked how fun it was to actually write the word "october"!) Silly, I know.
I really enjoyed all the artwork you selected for this post - so autumn-y and lovely.
Besides the pumpkins and bittersweet, I like to buy apples and the caramel / peanut butter dip for snacks. I like them better than caramel apples. Thanks for sharing such pretty photos.
