Homemade Card
Welcome to this week's card making project! This one is quick and easy to put together.
I made a couple of versions, including this one for Autumn.
You will need a 5 1/2" x 4" notecard.
Cover the front with patterned scrapbook paper.
Cut a 4" x 2 1/2" rectangle of scrapbook paper. Trim the top edge with decorative scissors.
Glue the sides and bottom to front of notecard.
Cut a 2" x 3 1/2" rectangle from cardstock.
Trim top corners with decorative scissors, dab edges with ink pad and add a stamp or sticker. There are plenty of other ways to decorated your gift tag, too.
Punch a hole and tie on some ribbon.
Glue a length of ribbon to top edge of pocket. I used hot glue.
Slip tag inside pocket.
Send to a friend. Thank you for taking a look!

Very pretty! I especially like the Autumn one, but I can just see a Christmas card with the tag being an ornament to hang on the tree!
Beautiful and inspiring cards. Thanks :)

Hi Kelli,
I love the card! Don't know if I shared or not, but there is another wedding in our future! This one on July 4th, 2009! I'm seeking inspiration again:) I made the applesauce puffs last evening thinking they would be good for an easy breakfast this first week of school.....they're gone! I guess that recipe is a keeper! Thanks for sharing!
Who wouldn't want to receive one of those cards; so pretty! :)

Thanks so much.

Hi Kelli,
I always love your suggestions. This is a pretty card. I am hoping to sign up soon for our churches card ministry and make some cards for those who need encouragement.
We have gotten so much since Cowboys surgery that I want to pass it on.
I hope to use some of your ideas. I'll take photos!
Have a Blessed Day...see you tomorrow.
Love,
Sherry

Kelli,
Do you keep a copy of each card in a little binder or do you mail them all out? They are all so lovely. You should keep a copy and some day write a book featuring your card ideas!

You make this look so simple. I am going to give card making a try.
God bless.
Love your cards. I need to get busy over here and stamp some cards too. I'm about out of my homemade cards.
What a beautiful card! And you make it seem so much easier to make than I would I have. I'll have to give this a try :)
(your blog is now one of my new favorites!)
I found out about a birthday at the last minute and was so glad I saw this post. I used it as the inspiration for the card I made - thank you!
I have also passed along an award to you.
