Show and Tell Friday!

Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.

Towel
Good morning! I have a couple of special things to share with you, today. Recently, I got an email from Debi asking if she could send me a copy of Life Beautiful magazine. She was sweet enough to send along several other gifts, including this beautiful guest towel. Thank you, Debi!

Cameos
I am also sharing two favorite pieces of jewelry.

Cameo
My mom always kept this cameo brooch on her dresser and I loved to look at it. I was very happy when she gave it to me a few years ago. Now I keep it on a little mirrored tray in my bathroom.

Ring
My other cameo is this ring that Phillip got for me when we lived in Sioux Falls, SD. I would love to add a Victorian era cameo to my small collection. Maybe someday! Thank you for looking at my show and tell and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate.

If you would like to join in, please leave your *permalink* below, along with your first name only (this makes the list easier to read). If your link has been removed from Mr. Linky, please re-read over the guidelines before re-posting. Have fun!

Hi am I allowed to link it to my boys bedroom that I posted two days ago? Not to the whole blog just that post? Wendy

Kellie,

The towel and the cameo are both beautiful. What a lovely gesture. I have mine up and it is linked only to the S&T post and it is something I own. Sorry about bending the guidelines in previous posts.

Blessings for a great weekend.

Such a pretty towel and your cameo's are beautiful. They remind me of a necklace my Grandaddy gave. Maybe I'll dig it out and show it next time.

Those are all so beautiful. I do have a cameo type ring which is supposed to be from the 1500's--it was made into a ring in the 1900's--but not sure what it originally was.

Good Morning Kelli,

I love cameo's..how precious yours are, they are wonderful heirlooms to be worn and passed on. They are perfectly displayed on your new towel. Perhaps sometime you could share where your Mother got her cameo, is the back signed?

Have a Fantastic Friday!
Hugs,
Kathi :)

PS,
I have tried and tried to get rid of that dumb smiley face after my name, I think it got there the first time I ever posted on Mr Linky on another blog,. I'm sorry.

And to think that we all get to put a picture of your mom's cameo on our blogs when we post your "Show & Tell" picture. It is so beautiful and I am so happy to know the story behind it now. And the ring, that was obviously meant to be yours. At a quick glance, you would think they came as a set. Thanks for sharing and having us!

Oh I love your pretty blog! You are a fabulous photographer :) I came over by way of Weathertop Farm, and I must say that I'm glad that I did!

I love cameo's too, and I had a little cameo ring when I was little. I can't remember how old I was when I got it, but I think my Mom gave it to me. Seeing your ring brought back the memory of it. Hmmmm, I wonder if it's still in my jewelry box or not......

The cameos are beautiful! I had planned to do a S&T, but got so involved with the convention, I didn't get it done. Guess what I was going to do? -- Cameos!! I have fallen into a collection of them. I'll do it is a few weeks. I enjoyed seeing yours and have always noticed the cameo in the S&T photo.

Kelli,
I'm so glad that you liked the guest towel. I used several old linens at my daughter's wedding, and even draped her portrait easel with the blanket that she came home from the hospital in 23 years ago. I'm glad that the towel found a happy home. Thanks for choosing it to share in your Show and Tell! I love your cameos too! I may get brave and enter something next week! Have a great weekend!

Thanks for leaving Mr. Linky up! I finally wrote. Thanks for coming by and checking in to say hi. It was crazy here yesterday. The computer time I had I was working on downloading the baby photos. My daughter has been frustrated that they didn't have any photo's yet. So I made sure Thursday we went to develope and so yesterday I was busy all day. Plus I got to keep the baby for a couple of hours while she went to the consignment sale in Grapevine.
Have a great weekend.
Smiles,
Shery
