Homemade Cards~Paper Crafting Thursday!

The winners of last week's paper crafting are Tara and Bugzmommy. Please email me your addresses and I'll get your prizes in the mail!

Christmas card
This week's card is quick and easy to put together and you can get lot of different looks, depending on the paper and stickers you use.

Notecard
You will need a 5 1/2" x 4" notecard.

Christmas card
When I use dark cardstock, I add a piece of white paper to the inside, for my message.

Paper strips
Cut two strips of paper:
-5 1/2" x 1"
-4" x 1"

Christmas card
Glue to front of card, as shown.

Christmas sticker
I'm using a sticker for my main embellishment.

Card foam
I added a piece of adhesive foam strip to the back.

Christmas card
It slightly raises the image. You can find the strips in the scrapbook section of Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Walmart.

Christmas tag
Cut a 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" rectangle of cardstock or scrapbook paper. I cut the edges with decorative scissors and dabbed them with an ink pad.

Christmas card
Attach to front of card, as shown.

Christmas card
Finally, I added a gold bow.

Christmas card
Send to a friend!

Birthday card
A Happy Birthday version.

Birthday card
Instead of a sticker, I used a circle of scrapbook paper, with pink ink around the edges.

Here are a few other things I made this week...

Paper Craft Fun: Post any kind of paper craft (card, bookmark, tag, banner, journal, etc.) on your blog between now and next week and come sign Mr. Linky. Next Thursday, I will draw two of the names and the winners will receive supplies for a homemade card: blank notecard, envelope, and an assortment of scrapbook paper, stickers (or stamped images), and ribbon. Link back here in your post, so that others will know where to join in the fun, too!

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi Kelli, I am fairly new to your blog and to paper crafting. I love your cards and crafts, can I ask where you get the embellishments, stickers and papers that look so vintage? I love that look and I would love to use similar items in my own crafts!

How much extra postage does it take to mail a card like the Christmas one? I love the looks of it but our post office is very picky about accepting a bulky envelope for mailing so I usually have to drive to another one, if I have a bulky card to mail.
