Transferware Tea Cups ~ Show and Tell Friday!


Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.

I was dropping off a few packages at the post office this week, and somehow found myself at a favorite gift shop near our historic downtown, afterwards. ;0)

I picked out a few sticker sheets and was checking out when I noticed some beautiful transferware tea cups.

I thought they were perfect for Thanksgiving and brought two of them home with me.

Boy, you're right. They are perfect for Thanksgiving. I love brown transferware. Brown has become one of my favorite colors.

Those brown and white cups are a great design, with the border inside and outside the cup rim, the turkey on the side.

I also live in Texas and when you said post off ice and then pottery store in historic part of town, I wonder if we live close! We're in a town that has two names and both start with an R. I was actually thinking of having my kiddos do some ceramics there for X-mas gifts. It looks like a cute little store. Those teacups are super adorable.

Kelli, your dishes are lovely. I love the vintage dishes that have so much detail. They are very fall looking right now. However, we have snow here today and fall is gone for the winter. Still, Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Gave a great one.

Can you please tell me who makes these or where I can get them. I saw these on a website for a place called Maine House but they did not say who manufactured them and I have beeen searching the internt for brown peacock tranferware and found your blog. They are beautiful:) Thank you!
