Hi Kelli,

I like freshly mopped floors too - I just wish they'd stay that way for more than a few minutes!

This was a good reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things.

It is always the simple things that give us the most pleasure: a call from a loved one, a note from a friend, a beautiful sunrise or sunset, a smile,....... You could just go on and on couldn't you? Thanks for the lovely pictures and your sweet blog.

I love that quote! Isn't it so true!?

It reminds me of this other quote:

Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

Have you tried that Buttermilk Blueberry Shortcake recipe, featured on the cover? It is AWESOME! I just made it the other day. It was surprisingly easy to make. Now it's time for me to go back on my diet. :-D

I am in Michigan and the peonies in my yard are slowly opening. It might be a week or 2 before they are fully open. I love peonies!

I also love Victoria magazines and I have all of the old issues from 1989 to 2000. After Nancy Lindemeyer left in 2000, I did not subscribe to the new Victoria magazines. These did not appeal to me.

I always enjoy your "simple pleasures" posts. It make me realize all the simple pleasures I have right here at home. Until I became a follower of you blog didn't really notice the small things.

With the cherries, the peonies, which I love so much and the quiche. I am ready to come for dinner! I never had a quiche, well the little frozen one, I did not care for. Yours looks wonderful! Is it hard to make? I think you should do a post where you make up a menu for the week and have a grocery list for all the ingredients needed. I use to do this when I cooked 3 meals a day. I would love to start back cooking! Maybe another meme for Meals For The Week!

That quiche looks so tasty!

I love the look of a freshly mopped floor. Right now I would love to see my floor, but it is so dirty... Someday.

Hope you are having a wonderful week!
