Something new...

Portable fire pit
Our neighbor was getting rid of his portable fire pit, so we were happy to take it off his hands.

Portable fire pit

Patio
For now, it's on our patio (as a handy fern stand), but once it cools down in a few months it will be perfect for fall evenings. And s'mores!

Lucky Kelli! While I was in Iowa my SIL fired his up one night in their backyard. We had fun eating popcorn and talking. We couldn't do S'mores because they only had mini marshmallows. I know the Winn family will make great use of their new toy. How is the fence project coming along?

Love, Debbi

This is a great re-use of the firepit. I'm planning a post on just such things, finding bargains and re-using things soon and I'd love to post this and a link back to your blog. Is that ok?

Guess you won't be using it anytime soon!
Have a Blessedly cool week.

I know you will enjoy your firepit as much as we do ours. We take one of the firelogs, cut it into four pieces. It usually last as long as we need when sitting outside on cool evenings.

Kelli, it is really neat! My mom has a different kind and she keeps a plant in it during the summer. I think it looks great with your furniture!

These outdoor fire pits are great! We have one and we often end up with a bunch of teen in our backyard at night laughing and roasting marshmallows:) It's great- and you know where you teens are:)

For my hubby and I - there's just something about watching water or fire...:)

Enjoy yours, Kelli!:)

I had to laugh when you said you could use it in a few months....it's just starting to get warm where we live. In fact, we could probably use a little fire stove like that all year long. I'm glad you have such a fine treasure to enjoy.

What a deal; you can't beat something you get for free!
Years ago, my daughter and her family gave me one for mother's day.
when it got a bit weathered looking, I painted it with heat resistant paint. It's black now, I wish heat resistant paint came in colors because mine have flower patterns on it.

It is gorgeous! And even better that it works too. The saying, "One man's junk is another woman's treasure", fits perfectly for this. Enjoy it!

That's a great find. We have a burner for outside use and it is fun when we are relaxing outside in the early evenings. That is, when we use it. Good for you and I am sure you will enjoy it. Take care.
