Corners of my Kitchen

Good Morning! Our new puppy is doing what I thought was impossible: I'm becoming a morning person. I've been getting up at 6:00am to take her outside, which I know isn't all that early for some, but is a huge accomplishment for me. Thank you for your wonderful comments about the oatmeal bars and Morning Glories. You wouldn't believe how much they've grown since I took those pictures!

We are having a great visiting with my family. There are 11 of us in my small house, so we are keeping busy. The week before everyone arrived I deep cleaned and organized my kitchen and I thought I would share a few pictures with you.

Canisters
This area is actually for a microwave, but I painted it the same color as my kitchen walls and put all of my baking canisters inside.

Shelf
My mom got me the ivy plate many years ago for my birthday and the cow, bunny and are Grace and Emily's small collection of creamers.

Dishes
Everything on top of the fridge is a resale store or yard sale find, collected over the past 8 years or so.

Hutch
Phillip's mom gave me this beautiful china, and many of the pieces belonged to Phillip's Grandma.

Dishes

Hutch

Fern
A little pitcher filled with ferns from the garden.

Hutch

Thank you for looking at at a few corners of my kitchen and I hope your week is going well.

Beautiful kitchen, and try getting up at 4:30am just to meet the back ends of 80 cows each morning! I'll take the dog anyday.

Hi Kelli,

Your kitchen looks lovely! I love how you artfully display your dishes. :-)

I love the early, early morning, too, especially at this time of the year - I'll trade an hour or two of extra sleep for a quiet house any day. :-) Now the cold, DARK, winter mornings...that's another story. A little harderd to get out of bed then!

Have a wonderful visit with your family! What does Daisy think of all the excitement? :-)

Hi Kelli,
Thanks for all your help on Show and Tell Friday. I may wait and join in next week since I'll be out of town. I want to be able to visit blogs that visit mine, and I won't be able to this weekend.

I love your pictures. You have an eye for decorating for sure. The pretty china is lovely!
Have a great day,

What lovely pictures of your kitchen---Kelli, I so remember you talking about taking out your microwave, but do you still not use one? That is so smart--I think I use mine several times a day.

You like the same things I do! Thing is that you are fortunate to have a hutch or cabinet. Ill have to wait until I can trust the 6 kids not to run into one!
Ive been thinking about you! Seems like something in our lives as moms always tends to wake us up earlier than wed like!

Kelli,

I like the way you painted the inside of your cabinet where the microwave used to be. That looks great!

I'm definitely not a morning person, but I'm getting a little better at liking mornings! lol!

Stop by and visit my blog sometime. One of these days I want to join in on your show and tell. I'm not much of a vintage linen person, so I'll probably wait until another week.

Have a great day!

Your kitchen spaces are so pretty - just like the rest of your home.

As for being a morning person - I am SO NOT. But, as of the past month or so, I am becoming a morning person. And you know why? Because of our dog! It is so hot here that I can't walk her past about 7:00 a.m. or so. She is a Golden Retriever and her hair is so long that she just burns up once the temps are 85 or so (which happens early). Also, my girls can't stand to be hot, so we are now getting up early. I have to admit that I am sort of enjoying it. My day seems so much longer. But, I am having to make myself go to bed early, which I don't really like. It is a learning process, yes?

just lovely! BTW I got the cottage.
I need you to come help me. You have such wonderful ideas! LOL.
I feel for you about the puppy. I am not a morning person either! 8:00 or a little after is morning enough for me! Take care and keep giving us the inspiration. You Bless.
Hugs,
S.
