Handmade Card, Paper Crafting and a *GIVEAWAY!*

Welcome to this week's handmade card project!

Gather your supplies. You will need:
-5 1/2" x 4" blank notecard
-Scrapbook paper
-Rubber stamp or stickers

Cut a 5 1/4" x 2" rectangle (the top) and a 5 1/2" x 1 3/4" rectangle (the bottom) from scrapbook paper.

Cut a 5 1/4" x 1/4" strip from cardstock. Cut a 5 1/4" x 1" strip from scrapbook paper. Cut bottom edge with paper punch or use decorative scissors.

Glue larger rectangle to top of card and decorative cut strip to bottom of card, as shown.

Glue smaller rectangle to front of card, overlapping both paper seams. Finally, glue cardstock strip along seam of the two rectangles.

Cut an approx. 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" oval from cardstock. Add rubber stamp image or stickers. Glue to front of card, as shown. I also shaded the edges with a foam ink pad.

Cut two 10" lengths of ribbon and tie into bows. Trim ends and attach to both sides of oval. I used hot glue.

Send to a friend!

~More Handmade Cards and Instructions~

A few more things I've made this week:
I went to an Estate sale this past weekend and found some beautiful vintage lace for these butterfly, dragonfly and bird gift tags.

A Holly Hobbie image for a card.

And more vintage lace.

Items can be found in my Etsy Shop!

Weekly Giveaway: Leave a comment between now and next Tuesday (8:00pm EST) and I will use random.org to pick a winner, who can choose *any* item from my Etsy Shop! You don't have to have a blog to join in, just leave an email address. International participants are welcome. Good luck and thank you for stopping by for a visit!

Paper Crafting Fun: Post any kind of paper project on your blog within the upcoming week, then add your link to Mr. Linky. Feel free to use one of the buttons on your blog. Next Wednesday, I will draw *two* names and they will receive a card making kit: blank card, envelope, paper, stickers (or stamped image), and ribbon. Link back here in your post, so that others will know where to join in the fun, too!

So, so pretty. I received a gift card to Michael's for Mother;s Day, and this is making me anticipate using it!!

I think I've asked before but missed the answer -- is the image here from a stamp? You have some of the cutest ones I've never seen before.

The gift tags are so cute! Also, I love just about anything with Holly Hobby on it. It reminds me of my old Holly Hobby Easy Bake oven that I had (and cherished)as a child.
