Handmade Cards, Paper Crafting and a *GIVEAWAY!*

Card
Welcome to this week's card project! It's a very simple design and works well with large patterned scrapbook paper.

Gather your supplies and tools:
-6 1/2" x 5" blank notecard
-Cardstock
-Scrapbook paper
-Rubber stamp or pen

Card
Glue a 6 1/2" x 1 1/2" strip of scrapbook paper along right edge of card, as shown.

Card
Cut a 2 1/4" x 2 3/4" rectangle of cardstock. Glue a slightly smaller rectangle of matching scrapbook paper to front. Secure to front of card, as shown. These measurements may be slightly different, depending on the paper you use.

Card
Add a rubber stamp image or write a saying with a pen.

Card
Send to a friend!

Happy Birthday version.

Weekly Giveaway: Leave a comment between now and next Tuesday (8:00pm EST) and I will use random.org to pick a winner, who can choose *any* item from my Etsy Shop! You don't have to have a blog to join in, just leave an email address. International participants are welcome. Good luck and thank you for stopping by for a visit!

Paper Crafting Fun: Post any kind of paper project on your blog within the upcoming week, then add your link to Mr. Linky. Feel free to use one of the buttons on your blog. Next Wednesday, I will draw *two* names and they will receive a card making kit: blank card, envelope, paper, stickers (or stamped image), and ribbon. Link back here in your post, so that others will know where to join in the fun, too!

I have not had time to make any cards for a long time. I felt awful dropping a pretty penny on MOthers Day cards when I have plenty to make them at home. I love this idea so I think I will use it as a springboard! I love looking at all of your homemade paper crafts!
