Show and Tell Friday!
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
Thank you for the Happy Anniversary wishes! We had a wonderful dinner out and earlier in the day I went to see what treasures I could find at the resale shop.
I brought home two pretty bowls and a plate.
Perfect for a summer snack.
Several old books that I knew Phillip would love.
He will enjoy reading through them.
Commentary on Luke and John.
A small book for missionaries.
And finally, a beautiful hymnal, from the 1940's.
Thank you for looking at my new treasures! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Kelli! I love the pretty dishes you found and the books are a great find as well!
Oh my gosh! Those dishes are darling!!
Happy anniversary! Love those thrift store finds, especially the dishes. I have an old Broadman hymnal from my home church that I grew up in. I treasure it so much.
Happy Anniversary! :)
Thank for hosting Kelli.
Question: I go by Barbara Jean on my blogs. Do you want me to just sign in as Barb so I keep it to one word?
I'm a rule follower, so let me know.
Oh, dishes are beautiful, and love the old books. You got some real treasures there.
Hi Kelli, How can I edit my name from my post ??
You always find the most wonderful things when you go shopping...the china pattern is great!!
Have a good day. Baba
How fun! I know a couple of the gals on your list so I need to head over to visit them and their special goodies they are sharing with us. Thanks for hosting and letting me drop by to say "hi"!
ps: I LOVE pink roses on plates!!!
Great find on the antique books. I'm sure they will make wonderful and informative reading. The Hymnal is a true goodie. I picked up a 1940 hymnal at the thrift shop. Our family isn't in anyway musical inclined, however it has made great read aloud material. It reads like poetry for the soul.
I love the vintage books - they are so intriguing.
Beautiful china too.
What neat dishes and books! The first book you shared: The commentary 1899 - Revivalist Press, Cincinnati Ohio - My husband and I went to Bible school at the college that published it! (Our first year, was the school's 100 year anniversary.) I actually put in a few hours volunteer time in the Revivalist office! Oswald Chambers taught there for a little while.
Anyway, I'm rambling a bit... it took me a little by surprise! :) Hope you have a great weekend!
You found some great things! I love old books, and that old hymnal is just wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
Very beautiful plates ! and happy Anniversary (a little late !)
Those dishes are very pretty. How do you find room for all your dishes? I am glad you found your husband the books. I hope you share them together. Happy Anniversary!
It doesn't seem that long ago that I sang from the Broadman Hymnal. I guess that tells me that I'm vintage too!
That is one of my all time favorite songs....Amazing Grace. And your dishes, I love roses, and love pink....perfect.
Happy Weekend Kelli!
My entry is posted now.
What beautiful dishes. The strawberries and cookies look fancy!

what great finds! you can never have enough dishes lol, loved it all! I'm sharing a few treasures today too LOL
These are truly elegant treasures! Beautiful dishes! It is always great when antique books, etc. find a home that will appreciate their value...
I love the plates and the books are very old. So glad you enjoyed your day and evening.
LOVE the dishes! But . . . I am after all a self proclaimed dishaholic!
The books are outstanding. When you stop to think of how old they are, of how many men and women stood in Church on a Sunday morning and held that hymnal while singing praises to God . . . it just gives me goosebumps.
I will be back next week! This week was just . . . CRAZY!
Have a good weekend.
Pretty finds Kelli, I love the dishes, that is a sweet pattern.
Happy Anniversary to you both...hugs, Linda

Such lovely dishes. I own a copy of that Braodman Hymnal. I just love those old hymns!
Your china is DELISH...and that old Hymnal??? How WONDERFUL!!!
The dishes are so pretty! I love old books too and the ones you found look very interesting. I love stopping at thrift stores. My show and tell for this week is a thrift store find too.
I adore the china and of course I also treasure old books. Simply lovely.
My favourite comentaries are the ones my late grandfather, a minister, had. When he passed, my mother brought back a bunch of them for me. Such good, solid, grounded teaching.
Lovely finds, Kelli! I can't resist old hymnbooks either. The dishes are especially pretty.
What wonderful and special finds. They have found such a perfect new home.
Kelli - It was fun to see the small book for missionaries, published in Nebraska. Union College is located kind of smack-dab in the middle of Lincoln, NE now, apparently built outside the city limits originally, then annexed into the city. We drive by it sometimes when we're in the city. :o)
What wonderful finds Kelli! I'm glad you had a good anniversary!
The dishes are beautiful! And I love the old books...I love old hymnals. Some lovely treasures.
Happy Anniversary, Belated!
