We headed out to the resale store this afternoon and all kinds of wonderful book popped out at me from the full bookshelves!
This little quote book has beautiful drawings and pictures of Royal Albert Old Country Roses.
This is my mom's favorite china pattern, so I will be sending this book to her.
Have you heard of The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden?

Another seasonal book with friendship poems and quotes. It would make a great gift!
An Invitation to Tea by Emilie Barnes. Inside are 10 different themed teas, along with lots of recipes.
And last but not least, The Gentle Art of Hospitality by Alda Ellis. I have never seen this book before, but glancing through it, I can see that it is filled with great ideas and recipes...

Everytime I visit your blog I am inspired, Kelli.
The pictures of these books makes me think what wonderful finds I likely pass up when I'm out and about that would bless my fellow homeschool mom friends.
I am not a "shopper" by nature and I just don't look for such things, but your blog has caused stirrings in me to be more observant when I am out -- and to even go the extra mile sometimes to look for such treasures.

My grandmother had the Old Contry Rose china and I had embroidered a tablecloth and eight napkins to match it for her 85th birthday. She ended up giving me her china (and the tablecloth) and I love it to this day.

Please do not consider this as an entry for your giveaway. At my age I am trying to de-clutter and I have more books than I can manage now.
But I had to write to tell you that Edith Holden's "Country Diary" is among my most treasured books. I had bought the original, but it burned in my house fire. Fortunately, I was able to find a copy again and I love it so. I would love to see the real thing in England someday.
Whoever wins "Country Diary" will be so thrilled. Please gift this and the other books to someone who will truly love them.
