My New Desk

It must be my week for squeezing furniture into small places! :0) This is my "new to me" oak rolltop desk. I call it "the beast" and after moving it through the house to our bedroom, Phillip agrees with me! I'm going to give it a good cleaning with orange oil and fill it with my writing paper and pens. There are alot of drawers, so Grace and Emily will be able to have a little spot too.

After I finish cleaning it, I'm off to the resale store to look for a chair, lamp and maybe a photo to put on the wall, in hopes of "prettying" it up. I'll be sure to share photos when I'm finished!

OH Kelli, I LOVE the beast! I'm sure you will enjoy it so much. How fun to have so many drawers that you can share with Grace and Emily. :) Enjoy putting it all together!

ITs a great beast ! I bought a small roll top desk, put it in the computer room, all ready for MY letter writing. Well, Emery seems to have "moved in" and bill paying seems to have taken MY desk over. Watch out for squatters : )

It's lovely!!!! It looks so sturdy and I love all the dividers in the drawers! What a wonderful find! Was it a gift or a sale find?

I know you are going to love this desk. Believe it or not, the first purchase we made as newlyweds was a roll top desk just like this one! I love it because it has so many wonderful compartments and "nooks" that it is a great way to organize paperwork, etc.. Don't you just love orange oil??Mmmm!

Hi Kelli! I've always loved rolltop desks and you have a beautiful one. "The Beast" looks like it will be a great addition to your house.

I can't wait to see what it all looks like when you get everything in place.

Mrs. Linebarger, Phillip's mom gave it to me. It was either the desk or the pool table in their game room, and with 3 teenage boys living at home, the pool table won!! LOL

Hi Kelli,
Oh so pretty. I am doing the same thing you are. I am bring about 1/2 of Mother Helen's house over to the cottage so I am being very creative as to where I am putting things to make it all fit.:)
