Handmade Cards, Paper Crafting and a *GIVEAWAY!*

Welcome to this week's card making project!

Card supplies
Gather your tools and supplies. You will need a 5 1/2" x 4" blank notecard, cardstock, scrapbook paper, stickers (or rubber stamp) and ribbon.

Glue a 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" piece of scrapbook paper to front of blank notecard.

Cut a 5 1/4" x 1 3/4" strip of cardstock. Trim the bottom edges with decorative scissors or use a paper punch.

Glue to front of card, as shown. I also shaded the edges with a foam ink pad.

Tie a 15" length of ribbon around card and tie a knot. Trim ends.

Cut a 2 1/2" square of cardstock. Cut a slightly smaller square and add sticker or stamp. Glue to larger square. These exact measurements may vary depending on your sticker or stamp.

Glue to front of card. Send to a friend!

Happy Birthday version.

A final batch of Mother's Day cards. It's less than 2 weeks away!

Items can be found in my Etsy Shop!

Weekly Giveaway: Leave a comment between now and next Tuesday (8:00pm EST) and I will use random.org to pick a winner, who can choose *any* item from my Etsy Shop! You don't have to have a blog to join in, just leave an email address. International participants are welcome. Good luck and thank you for stopping by for a visit!

Paper Crafting Fun: Post any kind of paper project on your blog within the upcoming week, then add your link to Mr. Linky. Feel free to use one of the buttons on your blog. Lovely as always! I haven't seen decorative scissors or a paper punch quite like the one used for the edging. Quite nice! Is the picture with the little girl from a stamp?

Wow! I love that paper punch! And the school cards are adorable! What a great idea!

Lovely cards, once again! I love the technique you use on the edges of the paper, but I can never get it to work for me. Any hints?

I have a question about your stickers. Do you just use that spray adhesive you have pictured, then stick them to waxed paper? Or do you use some sort of repositionable adhesive? I've been wondering this for a while.

marie said...

I love the first card so much! The paper is so pretty...you have such a knack for putting just the right things together!
I really like the old gift wrap/sticker idea too!

I made my mom a mother's day card using this card pattern! Thanks so much for the idea!

I just found your blog but I know I will be using it for all your handcrafted card ideas! Yours was the first time I have ever used a pattern. Usually I just make my own, but its quicker using someone else's ideas! :)
