Weekend Chit~Chat
Hello! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful comments about my embroidered sachet! It is all wrapped up for the bridal shower tomorrow.
In garden news, I just noticed that my sunflowers are beginning to bloom.
I'm pretty sure I planted "Mammoth" seeds, but these flowers are only about 4 inches across.
I spent some time organizing my magazines this past week. I have several back summer issues of Victoria to read through again.
Along with the newest issue of Martha Stewart.
There is a neat idea of using corks to make blueberry stamps that I can't wait to try.
And doesn't this look delicious?
It's supposed to get up to 103F today, so we'll be drinking lots of lemonade and trying to stay cool. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi Kelli! I always look forward to your weekend chit chat - I wish we could do it in person! I'm glad you are having such a nice weekend. My hubby was at work, but I got to glean the treasures of our local farm market today - such fun! Handmade soap and transparent apples - and super sweet golden plums! Mmmm. I need to have a bit of a rest, but later I hope to start some plum butter and apple jelly. My pantry is bursting with jams and relish to enjoy and give away - what a great feeling!
Kelli,
The pictures of your garden are just beautiful. I, also, enjoy your weekend chit chat! I hope you have a great weekend, too. :-)

This post is a treat for the eyes!! I, too, was perusing through the latest MS Living this morning--and I would also love to try stamping blueberries! That is such a cute project, I just don't know if I'll get around to it. Can't wait to see if you try it! And I sure could go for a tall glass of that lemonade right now--it's pretty hot & muggy here in Alabama!
I love looking through my old magazines. :) The lemonade looks delicious and sure would taste great today. It is so humid!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Lovely post. I love the sunflowers they are so pretty. The pond looks inviting. Speaking of where's Daisy? My Daisy went for a car ride a little earlier and got ice cream. Wish I had a good camera. It is quite a sight. She could not figure out why cowboy was eating one too. She thinks they are all for her!
Thanks for sharing I love your garden.
Have a Blessed Sunday,
Sherry
I so love sunflowers as well and ours are just starting to open up too...their bright sunny faces cheer me up no end:-) I love both these magazines you showed on your post...so many great ideas, especially the cork stamp to make a blueberry pattern, how neat that is. I'm comin' right over for a glass of that lemonade with you:-) xoxo
I just love those Martha Stewart magazines - they always have such fun ideas in them. Your lemonade looks wonderful - I could sure use some right now. It is hot, hot, hot. But I wouldn't have it any other way!
Have a great weekend!
I haven't had a chance to even look at my new MSL yet...now I've got to go check it out! LOL BTW, I just made your fruit filled oatmeal bars a few nights ago, and they were a HUGE hit! I will be making more of those! YUM!
The pictures of your garden are lovely! Hope you have a great rest of the weekend!
Hugs,
Amy O.
103??? Oh my, that's hot!
Love all the pretty pictures....especially the sunflowers!
I haven't read the Martha S. Magazine..but it looks good! That cork idea looks sooo awesome!!! i love that!!
Wow...i can't believe it is that hot there! ICK! I am so NOT good with heat! LOL (I am such a baby!) Enjoy your lemonade and I hope you have a fantastic rest of your weekend Kelli! :)
For years corks have been placed in a certain drawer in my kitchen. When the drawer becomes too full they are then put into a gallon ziploc bag and relegated to the far corners of a linen cupboard. I keep thinking one day I might just find a use for these corks. Thank you for sharing the idea about the blueberry stencils. I am seeing other things to be stamped with the corks too.....I see empty space in my cupboard's future and as Martha would say, "That's a good thing".
I'll join you on the lemonade, it was 110 earlier and now it's 6:30pm and still 104 LOL
Have a great weekend ;)
Kelli,

Hi Kelli,
Love your garden pictures! Thanks for your kind words on my floral arrangement, and for hosting the Show-and-Tell.
Blessings.
Hi Kelli,
I so enjoy your weekend chit chat posts. I also loved reading about your fairy garden and seeing your great card tutorial. I'm always so inspired after visiting here.
xo
kelli, your pond is beautiful! We just installed a pond but since it gets quite cold here up north, fishes are not an option. But water lilies are, lol
You know the drink that you showed from MSL, is it iced tea? I make ice tea with oranges and boy it is very good.
blessings,
mari
Beautiful Pictures! :) Blessings, Stephanie
Wow, I haven't been by for a while.I'm commenting on your last several posts.
You always have such nice photos, so girly and sweet.
Your garden must be beautiful, I love the pictures of the flowers.
Oh yea and your dog has really grown!
Yay! A sneak preview of the next Martha Stewart (we get it a month later in Oz - which is especially sad at Christmas).
I hadn't seen a sunflower unfold it's petals before and it seems missed one of nature's beautiful spectacles! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Kelli,
I love the Chit~Chat posts. I'm a big Martha fan, too. Your pond is so beautiful, love all the pics you share of it.
Very pretty flower garden pictures.
We love lemonade here too. We had both pink and yellow lemonade this weekend.

All your photos look so cool and refreshing. I have been drinking lots of lemonade, even though it's not quite as hot as it is there.
Hi Kelli -
Your photos are lovely, as usual. Aren’t sunflowers just the cheeriest blossom?
I missed Show & Tell Friday (busy weekend!) but I just checked out your embroidered sachet bag. Oh my - it is incredibly beautiful! You do such fine work. :-)
Happy Sunday - stay cool!
How fascinating to see the sunflower unfold. A great photo!
Kelli,I do not know if you’ve been nominated for the Brilliante Weblog award, but your blog has been most inspiring to me, and I would like to pass it on to you at this time. Please see my post for information on the award.

I like the shoe idea!!!!!!
Your sunflowers alone brighten my day! I love the blueberry shoes! what fun they would be :). 103, that's how hot it was when I came to Texas once for a visit, it was hot and humid, I'll be thinking of you! :)
Kelli,
I hope your Monday is a bit cooler. We've had a weekend of thunderstorms. The weather though humid was a bit cooler.
Blessings to your week.
Gina
Love your garden. And yes the drink does look wonderful! It is supposed to hit 102 this week here but it has already been in the 100's so..Lemonae does sound delightful.
Blessings

I agree, those blueberry stamps look cute, but I don't think I'd use them on shoes...make a notecard!
All of these photographs are so appealing and say "summer" to me. I especially like the photo of your pond.
I have the new "Martha", but I haven't had time to really sit down and read it yet. The blueberry stamp is a clever idea.
My magazine reading is now down to four, only one of which I savor for the decorating and art. Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion is it! I do enjoy flipping through Victoria and Martha Stewart when I get the chance. :-)
