"Show and Tell Friday!"

Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.

Since it's Christmas time, I thought I would share my greenery candle centerpiece that I put together last night.
Pine
The pine boughs were trimmed off the bottom of our Christmas tree.

Bow
I gathered the ends together and secured them with a large bow.

Candles
I had a few miscellaneous glass votive holders, so I put them to good use...

Centerpiece
...by placing them among the greenery.

Candles
It's especially pretty all lit up and it smells nice too!

Thank you for looking at my show and tell!

Show and Tell Guidelines

What is Show and Tell Friday?
Show and Tell involves showing something to an audience, and then telling them about it. Your show and tell must be something that you own, and is in your home or garden.

What items work well for Show and Tell Friday?
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
-Family heirlooms
-A collection you may have
-A piece of jewelry
-A special gift
-Gardening pictures

What doesn't work well for Show and Tell Friday?
-Posts with no photos have no "Show." Please don't use them.
-Photos of events (trips, vacations, celebrations, etc.)
-Photos of things you are selling or planning to sell.
-Photos found on the internet, graphics or screenshots. Please use photos you take yourself.
-Old photos of just people instead of things.

There is no place like home is the original home of Show and Tell Friday. Please do not host your own.

How can I participate?
Once you've got your photo(s) and your story, it's easy as 1-2-3!

1 - Publish your "Show and Tell" on your blog, including a link back to There is No place like Home.

2 - Copy the link (or "permalink") from your post.

3 - Add it to Mr. Linky, along with your first name only. (This will make the list easier to read.) I usually put Mr. Linky up on Friday at 12:00am Eastern time.

I love this...I was just trying to think of something to do with my branches that my husband trimmed off of our tree this week! I love the look with the candles.

And congratulation on your Homeschool award nomination! :)

That's a very nice idea, Kelli! So you already bought your Christmas tree? Well, we here in Germany usually don't put up the tree before December 24. When do you decorate yours?

Have a great week-end!

Hugs, Anita

Your table decor is so lovely. I was just wondering yesterday what would be the best way to gather some tree boughs because now our trees are loaded with heavy snow. I guess I'll just have to go wading!

Good Morning Kelli,
I love your Show & Tell Friday. The greenery is just beautiful. I can just smell it now. The candles centered within it is stunning. I'm a big Candle lover myself. I posted my Show & Tell Friday, but I think I did it wrong. It said no photo's. Well, mine is a photo, but it's just not any photo. It has special meaning to me. I hope when you have time you will drop by and let me know what you think. I still don't know how to do the Mr. Linky thing. I still have lots to learn. Well, take care my friend and have a great Friday. May God Bless You and Yours. I enjoyed your Show & Tell Friday.

Hugs,
Karen H.

So clean and elegant - I love it! Last year we had a real tree and I had the best time with the extra greenery! This year, no real tree and I'm missing my green sprigs to put here and there around the house!

Kelli, not only are you clever, but frugal, as well. That's one of the things I truly miss about having an artificial tree. I'm sure your house smells delightful. I really like the simplicity of your centerpiece, though. Clear glass gives it an elegance, too. Nice work, as usual.

Very Pretty. I did something like that with some of the trimmings from our tree too. Only I have just one small jar Candle and a pine cone.

I couldn't participate in today's Friday Show and Tell, because our Cable Modem was out ALL day long. It is now 11:00 and I am just too tired to post it now.

But I enjoyed looking at yours. Thanks for sharing. :)

Now if only I could convince my hubby to get a real tree from now on. Hmm I do have a neighbour that trims his evergreens about this time every year. Time to pay a visit.
