"Show and Tell Friday!"
Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.
Since it's Christmas time, I thought I would share my greenery candle centerpiece that I put together last night.
The pine boughs were trimmed off the bottom of our Christmas tree.
I gathered the ends together and secured them with a large bow.
I had a few miscellaneous glass votive holders, so I put them to good use...
...by placing them among the greenery.
It's especially pretty all lit up and it smells nice too!
Thank you for looking at my show and tell!
Show and Tell Guidelines
What is Show and Tell Friday?
Show and Tell involves showing something to an audience, and then telling them about it. Your show and tell must be something that you own, and is in your home or garden.
What items work well for Show and Tell Friday?
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
-A collection you may have
-A piece of jewelry
-A special gift
What doesn't work well for Show and Tell Friday?
-Posts with no photos have no "Show." Please don't use them.
-Photos of events (trips, vacations, celebrations, etc.)
-Photos of things you are selling or planning to sell.
-Photos found on the internet, graphics or screenshots. Please use photos you take yourself.
-Old photos of just people instead of things.
There is no place like home is the original home of Show and Tell Friday. Please do not host your own.
How can I participate?
Once you've got your photo(s) and your story, it's easy as 1-2-3!
1 - Publish your "Show and Tell" on your blog, including a link back to There is No place like Home.
2 - Copy the link (or "permalink") from your post.
3 - Add it to Mr. Linky, along with your first name only. (This will make the list easier to read.) I usually put Mr. Linky up on Friday at 12:00am Eastern time.

How lovely! And how smart too to use the boughs from the tree! They look very pretty on your table and I bet they smell marvelous!
Have a merry Christmas season!
You are so creative. Your centerpiece probably smells wonderful. Blessings...
Kelli, that is so pretty! I bet it smells good too! I can almost smell it!
THe centerpiece looks very pretty.
I love this...I was just trying to think of something to do with my branches that my husband trimmed off of our tree this week! I love the look with the candles.
And congratulation on your Homeschool award nomination! :)
That's a very nice idea, Kelli! So you already bought your Christmas tree? Well, we here in Germany usually don't put up the tree before December 24. When do you decorate yours?
Have a great week-end!
Kelli this looks just wonderful. I can even smell it. That's my time of the year, I love christmas with its decorations, cooking and baking, all the special things one does during this time.
Have a wonderful day, hugs Britta
Lovely use of fresh greenery and votives. Thanks for hosting the Show and Tell. I hope to participate soon.
Do stop by and visit my holiday home when you can:
I love the smell of the New England pines - I wish I was in Maine right now.
Fresh pine display centrepieces are so natural!.
What a lovely use for your extra trimmings! Thanks for brightening up my night while I was up with baby.
The permalink to mine is HERE
I love the branches and the candle effect, Kelli. I bet the aroma when you're near the decoration is just heavenly!!!
Your table decor is so lovely. I was just wondering yesterday what would be the best way to gather some tree boughs because now our trees are loaded with heavy snow. I guess I'll just have to go wading!
There is nothing like the fresh scent of pine. I love candles, too! I think your centerpiece is just lovely, Kelli!
What a AWESOME and simple but pretty idea.
Good Morning, Kelli!
I can just imagine the aroma from the bough and candles...
My show and tell is up over at my place.

You have the very best ideas.....I love it.
That is simple, but elegant. I love this idea.
You have the nack to make things lovely. Looks wonderful.
As always Kelli, your decorations are lovely!
What a pretty idea for your table. I just love the combination of candles and greenery.
Beautiful and so simple....and elegant..
Good Morning Kelli,
I love your Show & Tell Friday. The greenery is just beautiful. I can just smell it now. The candles centered within it is stunning. I'm a big Candle lover myself. I posted my Show & Tell Friday, but I think I did it wrong. It said no photo's. Well, mine is a photo, but it's just not any photo. It has special meaning to me. I hope when you have time you will drop by and let me know what you think. I still don't know how to do the Mr. Linky thing. I still have lots to learn. Well, take care my friend and have a great Friday. May God Bless You and Yours. I enjoyed your Show & Tell Friday.
That is so pretty!
Simple an elegant! I bet it looks lovely at night with the candles twinkling amongst the greenery!
Kelli, that is really pretty!
So clean and elegant - I love it! Last year we had a real tree and I had the best time with the extra greenery! This year, no real tree and I'm missing my green sprigs to put here and there around the house!
It's lovely, Kelli. You're so creative!!

Lovley. I love greenery. Can't find and pretty here. I think I may run to lowes and ask can I pickup their scrapes lol.
How elegant and creative! I absolutely love it!
Have a bright and beautiful Christmas!
You always have such wonderful ways to make displays like this...I love it!! xox
what a creative arrangement. YOu are so creative and make it look so easy!
How lovely! I'd never think of something so nice on my own.
I joined Show And Tell this week! :)
Kelli, not only are you clever, but frugal, as well. That's one of the things I truly miss about having an artificial tree. I'm sure your house smells delightful. I really like the simplicity of your centerpiece, though. Clear glass gives it an elegance, too. Nice work, as usual.
Per usual, you are so talented!
that's beautiful, kelli. so simple, yet elegant and pretty.
A very pretty centerpiece!
Enjoy your weekend ~
Very Pretty. I did something like that with some of the trimmings from our tree too. Only I have just one small jar Candle and a pine cone.
I couldn't participate in today's Friday Show and Tell, because our Cable Modem was out ALL day long. It is now 11:00 and I am just too tired to post it now.
But I enjoyed looking at yours. Thanks for sharing. :)
So simple but so festive. Thank you for hosting this fun event each week.
Now if only I could convince my hubby to get a real tree from now on. Hmm I do have a neighbour that trims his evergreens about this time every year. Time to pay a visit.
Kelli I love this. I am so thankful that you host a show and tell each week.
I am having a one year blog anniversary and having 3 giveaways if you would like to enter!
What a fantastic idea!
That is REALLY beautiful, Kelli, and so simple!
Very pretty. Love your table centerpiece. I hope to start back with show and tell after the new year.
