"Show and Tell Friday'

Welcome to “Show and Tell Friday!” Do you have something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, or a treasured collection. Look around your home for something to share; dig through those boxes in your closet if you have to! Share photos and the story that goes with your special item.

Today I would like to share with you some new gifts I got for Christmas. Phillip surprised me with this picture frame filled with photos of the girls and Benjamin. I absolutely love it and am impressed he pulled it off without me finding out about it early. :0)

Benjamin picked out these warm and fuzzy slippers for me to wear this winter.

Emily and I love jewelry and in particular dangly earrings. She picked out these beautiful gold ones for me, all by herself.

My favorite perfume is Wings and I ran out of it a few months ago. Grace surprised me with the perfume and lotion set, so now I smell good again. ;0)

Thank you for looking at my new gifts. As you can see I was spoiled this year!

Show and Tell Guidelines

What is Show and Tell Friday?
Show and Tell involves showing something to an audience, and then telling them about it. Your show and tell must be something that you own, and is in your home or garden.

What items work well for Show and Tell Friday?
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
-Family heirlooms
-A collection you may have
-A piece of jewelry
-A special gift
-Gardening pictures

What doesn't work well for Show and Tell Friday?
-Posts with no photos have no "Show." Please don't use them.
-Photos of events (trips, vacations, celebrations, etc.)
-Photos of things you are selling or planning to sell.
-Photos found on the internet, graphics or screenshots. Please use photos you take yourself.
-Old photos of just people instead of things.

There is no place like home is the original home of Show and Tell Friday. Please do not host your own.

How can I participate?
Once you've got your photo(s) and your story, it's easy as 1-2-3!

1 - Publish your "Show and Tell" on your blog, including a link back to There is No Place Like Home.

2 - Copy the link (or "permalink") from your post.

3 - Add it to Mr. Linky, along with your first name only. (This will make the list easier to read.) I usually put Mr. Linky up on Friday at 12:00am Eastern time.

What great gifts you received. Your children and husband did a great job! Enjoy. I'm not trying to be first every week. I just have to hit the sack by 9ish...

Would it be alright if I post my dollhouse post for show and tell even though I posted it, technically, the other day? I posted several times on the progress so I thought it would be nice to show the finished product. I will put my name in the linky box but if you don't think it is a good idea, you can take it off. How's that? :-)

Beautifully heartfelt and thoughtful gifts!

Hi everyone...hope your holiday was a good one.

Kelli, I really LOVE the gold earrings.

I just added my SnT to my blog for the day. It's two growth charts in photos of my now adult kids! From birth to marriage[daughter] and Marine Corps [son]

The link I have on Mr. Linky is the permalink.

Also~I just realized I would have to post the actual blog address since I couldn't fit all the photos in one post. Maybe it ought to be better just to tell everyone here in your comments that it is done and they can check it out at

Sounds like you got all the things you would like!
Hope you'll check out my entry!

OOPS...I just read the part where we're to use our first names only....guess I'd better go back to school and learn to read instructions!!

Sorry 'bout that. I hope I remember that rule next week. ;o)

What sweet presents! It's fun when children can pick presents out for themselves to see what they come up with and how they were thinking. The frame reminded me that I had one tucked away for my husband that I had forgotten about!! I'll save it for his birthday in March. :-)

Good Morning Kelli,
I love all of your gifts you received. I used to have a pair of those warm fuzzy's as well. I wore them all the time. They finally wore out tho. LOL. I have my Show & Tell Friday post up. I took some pictures of my Villages this mornind and shared that. I may do my Poinsetta Dishes another time. Again, I apologize for not doing it by the rules the last 2 times I did it before. Take care my friend and have a great Friday. May God Bless You and Yours.

This is my first time doing a Show and Tell Friday - great idea!

I love old things - so that's what I have posted about on my blog for this week's Show and Tell.

Incidentally the only thing I ever remember bringing to elementary school for show and tell was a Snoopy radio/megaphone type thing I got for Christmas in about the 3rd grade.

My dd now loves Peanuts and I wish I had kept that snoopy radio and could be showing it off today (I held onto it until about 10 yrs ago - sigh).
