Weekend Chit~Chat
It's supposed to get down to 29F here tonight, which is cold for Texas. If only it would snow too! I've been busy in the kitchen for the past few days, making cookies and other goodies for Christmas gifts. I will share the recipes and a couple crafts projects this coming week.
Also, I will be participating in Boomama's Christmas Tour of Homes on Monday, and am looking forward to visiting everyone else who will be joining in the fun.
Phillip fixed up my blog sidebar a few days ago, and added a new section near the top: Celebrate Christmas. I have listed some old and current project and recipe links. These links will change depending on the upcoming holidays and seasons, so be sure to check back often!
What are you busy with this weekend? Christmas shopping? Wrapping gifts? Shoveling snow?

Definitely shoveling snow. We are really getting the snowstorm - it's even kept us from going to a nephew's wedding, which was the original plan for this weekend. : (
Instead I did some knitting and made biscotti. : )
Oh, I hope you guys stay warm!
I took my youngest son shopping this afternoon and he got all his Christmas shopping done. My husband and I went to his work party/dinner and then we got a big chunk of our shopping done for the kids. Tomorrow after church I am going to a ladies Christmas tea at my girlfriends house! Fun times!
Merry Christmas! Sharon
It turned cold over night with a fierce wind blowing this morning. We are just trying to stay warm! This evening we are having our children's Christmas program at church and finger foods afterwards. I made a german chocolate cake yesterday and will make some cheese wafers today.
I bet it smells good at your house!
I am busy trying to get all my baking and candy making done the next few days. I did get my knitting done, and will be in the sewing room afternoons for the next couple of days. The count down is on.
Merry Christmas!!
I'm getting last minute things. I'm hosting a dinner for my in laws today.....and going to bake some next week and Madison has a party at church and school next week...so busy busy as usual.
I'm snowed in! I'll be drinking apple cider and eating truffles all weekend :)
Hi Kelli,
It's cold here too, but supposed to warm up and start raining tomorrow.
We're busy with shopping, and wrapping. I hope to do some baking next week as well.
Enjoy this blessed time of year!
xo
I'm glad you are getting some Christmassy weather. We are cancelling church this evening because our weather is so goofy. Looks like we'll be solid ice by tonight. I see you put your banner on the little hutch. And I see cookies in the dish! Atta girl.
Love,
Nancy
Hi Kelli,
Yesterday I added a few more holiday decorations. I wanted a bit of a change this year from the last few so I've been trying things in different locations to see how they look. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. My final list of baking/ cooking menu is almost done for our open house next Saturday. We've begun to get some more snow so I brewed a cup of tea and am enjoying it with some wonderful Italian panettone.
It was COLD last night! Brr!
This weekend we have our children's musical and other than that, I'll be sitting here. Wrapped in a blanket. :-)
We are shoveling snow here. It's a Church Christmas party, Christmas baking, Sunday School program weekend. Busy times.
Hi Kelli :) It was a party and church weekend for us - a lovely one! Love, Q
We had quite a busy weekend here. I am still knee deep in cookie baking. My house is in no shape at this point for a Christmas tour. Yikes! It looks like a bomb went off every where and there is powdered sugar everywhere to prove it. You can read more about it on my blog. Your house looks simply lovely and awe so inviting! Better Homes and Garden look out!!
I went to a Christmas party.
We had a wrestling tourney in town.
Otherwise yes..we did finish up some last minute wrapping.
Enjoy the next few weeks of the Christmas holiday.
