Today I'm going to show you how to make some easy place cards for your Thanksgiving table.
Children can help with this project too!
I like to use gift bag tags (from Michaels) because they are the perfect size and already folded. You could easily cut and fold your own using cardstock though!
For this place card, I attached a sticker, so that it was only on half of the top part of the card. I added my name in the left corner and a little blessing at the bottom. It says:
Bless the food before us,
The family and friends around us,
and the love between us.
Amen.
For this next placecard, I glued gold and cream ribbon along the top and bottom of the card, and then glued on two pieces of dried wheat for a harvest look.
The last one is simply a name written on the card, with a small cluster of acorns placed in front.
I hope I have given you some ideas for some easy-to-make Thanksgiving place cards!

These are lovely, what a great idea!!! I am loving this series Kelli! I sure hope you will do this for Christmas too! :-)
These are very pretty Kelli.
I always appreciate little touches like these.
Love these Kelli! We're having a Thanksgiving dinner at a friend's next week! And we're using your blog for ideas!
Very pretty and simple to make! Thanks for the ideas.

Beautiful! And that's brilliant to use gift bag tags. I had used ready-made place cards that were designed to be done on the computer, but it was really hard to get the wording centered, so I used card stock instead. But the gift bag tags are perfect.
How cute! I may make some for our Thanksgiving dinner. I made some in previos years, but they were very basic.
I just love your blog with the way you post pictures, directions, and helpful information!

Kelli, these are beautiful. I love the one with the wheat. I also love the idea about putting a little prayer on them. My grandkids and I always do placecards for holidays. (Actually, Elizabeth has pretty much taken over the job.) I'm going to show her the ones you made. I think she'll like your ideas.
Love those place cards. I agree what a neat touch to add to each place where everyone is sitting. Very neat idea.
What a great idea! Awesome! Thank you! You are so creative!

I *really* like the first one!! Thanks for such a great idea!
Those are great ideas! I've never used name cards for a meal since we are VERY informal in our family. This year, though, I think I'd like to try using them, even if people don't sit where they're supposed to. They would look beautiful on my table!
So, cute!
